Twist down retractable eyecups make the series-22 ideal for use with or without spectacles.  Spectacle-wearers can now see the full field of view without the normal tunnel-view effect produced by other binoculars.  This feature is called "Long eye relief".

Lynx series-22 binoculars are small and light, which makes them ideal to carry with you on hikes etc., and its extremely close-focusing will appeal to birders. Black rubber covering reduces the chance of damage to the finish and the internal components.  Multi-coated optics transmit more light than regular lens coatings, and reduce image flare and increases image contrast.  The result is a bright, clear, sharp and colour-true image.  Internal focus mechanism makes this binocular impervious to water and dirt ingress, and less likely to be damaged due to hard knocks or drops. 

The roof-prism design, whilst being more costly to manufacture than porro-prism, results in a more compact binocular.
